Opening and closing of the eyes by an attentive elephant (shown by moving tip of trunk and lifted ears) as contrasted with the normal position (in African elephants) in which the eyes are normally cast downwards. This behavior is perhaps most noticeable during suckling (See Suckle-Face), but may also be observed when an elephant is in deep contemplation.
