We know that some of you wonder why we do not let "Everybody" post on ElephantVoices on Facebook. The answer is simply that we want to focus on ElephantVoices' goals and scope of work, using solid science to promote the interests of wild and captive elephants. There are many activists doing great work, but activism is not our trade mark and we do not feel it serves the purpose of ElephantVoices or elephants to jump on to every campaign.

Individual elephants are always important - but with limited resources and capacity (there are just two of us) we have to focus our efforts carefully! We try to concentrate on cases that can help change policies for the benefit of elephants. Our very top priority is promoting compassionate conservation of elephants in the wild. So please don't be disappointed if we cannot take on the fight for the elephant in your neighborhood zoo or circus.

It is to our comfort that there are so many of you out there who are willing and able to go the extra mile to do just that - and hopefully many of you will feel support in having access to information provided through www.elephantvoices.org and The Elephant Charter. In a world where we all are drowning in information one of our main challenges is to be able to reach out to the right people - we continue to need your help in doing so!
